Senior Software Engineer (Scala & Python)

For our client we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Scala & Python) to join an existing engineering team focused on developing backend services and expanding AI-powered capabilities across the client's SaaS platform.
Both Scala and Python are core technologies for this role. While Scala is essential for maintaining and extending the existing platform, a significant portion of the day-to-day development will be in Python. The role also requires experience integrating AI models and AI services into production systems.

Scope of responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain robust backend services using Scala and Python

• Design, implement, and scale AI-powered features across the platform

• Integrate internal and external AI services via APIs (including LLMs and similar AI platforms)

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of backend architecture and AI capabilities

Here is a set of skills we require: 

Must-have:

• Strong commercial experience with Scala in production environments

• Strong proficiency in Python

• Senior-level understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, version control, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs)

• Experience with AI-based transcription solutions or similar AI models

• Knowledge of ElasticSearch

• Experience integrating AI services through APIs

• Experience with PHP development

• Familiarity with public cloud AI services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
