Freelance Java Developer (Financial Sector)

Key Duties and Requirements: A Roadmap to Your Professional Success 🚀

Scope of responsibilities: 

  • Actively contribute to the development of new features and enhancements through writing and reviewing high-quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage,
  • Continuously improve the quality and security of applications,
  • Promptly and efficiently address production incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and restore service continuity,
  • Collaborate with platform engineers to enhance CI/CD pipelines and streamline release processes.

Here’s a set of skills we require:

  • 7+ years of Java experience with Spring Boot - must have,
  • Knowledge of SQL,
  • Experience with Kafka,
  • Experienced with REST API development,
  • Foundational experience in containerization (Kubernetes),
  • Experienced with microservices architecture,
  • Experience in the banking/fintech industry,
  • Very good spoken and written English (at least B2),
  • Very good spoken and written Polish.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in large teams (SAFe SCRUM).

Job requirements

Navigating the Hiring Process: What does the recruitment process for that position look like? 🍀

  1. HR Screening - once we get your CV, we’ll take a look and schedule a brief call. During this conversation, you can learn more about the company and your role. The call is also for us to learn more about you and talk about your expectations. We make sure the conversation is concrete but also very informal and friendly. Duration about 15-30 min.

  2. Technical interview - during this stage, we conduct two video calls with one of our client experts. We evaluate your technical knowledge and experience required for the open position by discussing, solving and live coding real problems in the field. Duration is approximately 60 minutes per call.

  3. Background Verification (BGV) - due to internal policy our client has to verify a candidate's employment history, education, criminal record, and references. It ensures the accuracy of the information provided and assesses suitability for the role. Successful completion of the BGV is required before finalizing the offer. The whole process takes up-to a week.
